W-2 Employee Policies

• Employees will transition to W-2 status starting next year to ensure compliance.

• Payroll will be processed through Square until the end of this year; a new system may be introduced later.

• Policies will include uniform requirements, attendance rules (termination after 3 no-shows), and cleaning du

• Sick leave and tardiness will follow state labor law standards.

• Workers’ compensation insurance will be provided. Health insurance is not required for part-time employees.

1099 Contractor Policies (Current Year Only) 

• Contractors are responsible for managing their own taxes and are not eligible for benefits.

• Contractors may not exchange personal contact information or social media with clients.

• Overly personal conversations with clients are prohibited.

• Any attempt to take clients away from the business may lead to termination of the contract.

Cleaning Duties & Compliance 

• All staff are assigned scheduled cleaning duties to maintain spa hygiene.

• Tasks must be completed and logged. 

• Failure to comply will result in a 5% deduction from commissions for that pay period.

Life Coaching & Holistic Nutrition Certification Policy

• Employees may apply for sponsorship or stipends to complete certifications in life coaching or holistic nutrition.

• Once certified, employees will be eligible for a pay increase (e.g., $2/hr or equivalent).

• Certification enhances service offerings and can be integrated into premium packages.

• Certificates should be displayed in the spa and listed on the website to highlight credibility.

Workers’ Compensation & Insurance

• Workers’ compensation coverage is mandatory and will be provided for all W-2 employees, even part-time.
